Dr. Linda Morgan is the Founder and Director, Thunderbolt Counseling Services, LLC in Savannah, GA. Her company celebrates 10 years in business in 2020. Dr. Morgan was born in Portland, Oregon. Her academic background includes: University of Chicago, Huston-Tillotson College (BA Ed), Univ. of Texas at Austin (Ph.D., Ed. Admin), Lamar University, Beaumont, TX (MA in Counseling), and Syracuse University (MSW), Syracuse, NY. Linda has dedicated her life to eliminating poverty and racial inequalities by providing mental health services to some of society’s most at risk populations. She spent 4 years working with Federal Prisoners in Savannah as well as having served for 14 years at Unity Health, Rochester, NY, where she wrote and ran grants for homelessness, social security recipients, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, Hep C, and Mental Health in school system. Ms. Morgan is very proud and grateful for opportunities to lead and empower therapists in the local community. Her community accomplishments include: obtaining a NNED Grant for Diversity in Behavioral Health Treatment, and serving as a supervisory member and clinical fellow for the professional mental health organization: AAMFT. Linda also works with the Savannah Social Workers group. She serves her church, Unity of Savannah, as a Prayer Chaplain, the organist in the “Spirit I Am Band”, and as President of the church’s Board of Directors.
Dr. Morgan lives in Thunderbolt, GA with her husband and Coco the therapy dog. She has 2 sons: Jonathan who lives in Savannah and Daniel who resides in Baltimore, MD. Linda can be found at home binge watching Grace and Frankie, sipping on a giant cup of coffee while munching on a Nutella Pop Tart from Auspicious Bakery. A talented musician, and the last person to leave any party, she is currently working on mastering her jazz piano skills.

James Dowling was born in Dublin, GA and attended SCAD, the Savannah College of Art and Design where he obtained his BFA degree in Metals & Jewelry Design. Mr. Dowling is also an LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) and Reiki Master. He obtained his diploma from the Dovestar School of Massage and Alternative Healing Arts where he Specialized in Kriya Massage, Myofacial Release, Reiki, Breathwork, Meditation, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. After graduating, Mr. Dowling founded his own holistic practice: the Phoenix Holistic Center in Savannah, GA where he helped many people with chronic pain and stress issues. In 2015, James graduated with his Masters in Clinical Mental Health from South University. He completed his year long internship in the Student Mental Health clinic at SCAD, where he most enjoyed putting his life experience as an artist to work to help many art students over come their life challenges. He then obtained his LAPC (Licensed Associate Professional Counselor) credentials from The state of Georgia Board of Counseling and Social Work. He specializes in Integrative, Person-Centered therapy, Positive Psychology counseling and Mind Body Spirit Relaxation Techniques for Family, Couples, Individuals, Artists, Teens, and the LGBT / Transgender communities. Through his years as a therapist he has learned to help patients with Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Addictions, Grief, Life Changes, Personal Growth, and Spirituality. Mr. Dowling also enjoys working with and doing sessions with Blackie, his therapy cat, once a feral rescue cat who resides at the office.
James has served as a Prayer Chaplain at Unity Church of Savannah. James volunteers time at the VFW Post 660 helping veterans and volunteers as a Mental Health Therapist at the Savannah LGBT Community Center twice a week. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the First City Network, the oldest LGBT organization in the state of GA. Mr. Dowling enjoys helping members of the community from all walks of life.
Tiffany Causey is a native of Savannah, Ga, where she attended the Alfred Ely Beach High School. Ms. Causey also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, as well as a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from South University. She cites as one of her life’s greatest accomplishment to date as being the first person in her immediate family to gain a Masters degree. Her work background includes experience in the hospitality/ hotel industry as well as the retail industries. Tiffany models her life on real life hero, Michelle Obama, the person she most admires, who serves an inspiration to women around the world.
Currently Ms. Causey lives in East Savannah and enjoys listening to music, reading and going crabbing along the Low Country coastline. She can often be found watching reality TV shows including: Married to Medicine and The Real Housewives of Atlanta, while chowing down on spicy Chicken Wings and an ice cold Dr. Pepper. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her three nieces and two nephews. Ms. Causey is planning a trip to New Orleans to experience a Saints game and sample the wonderful Cajun/Creole cuisine.
Laura Dowling holds a Bachelors degree from Armstrong Atlantic State University, a Masters in Sociology from Georgia Southern University, and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from South University. Her professional life has included work as a Police Officer for 10 years, and most recently as the Office Manager and a Therapist at Thunderbolt Counseling Services. Laura is a Survivor of Domestic Violence from many years ago. Her Hero is her mother, who died at the age of 50, of breast cancer. Ms. Dowling is a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, International Honors society for Sociology, and the National Honor Society for Political Science. She volunteers time at the VFW Post 660, & Safe Shelter (the domestic violence shelter for Savannah) where she also did her internship. She also volunteers as a Mental Health Therapist at the Savannah LGBT Community Center twice a week where she enjoys helping people from all walks of life.
